Now its Terry's turn but this guy is smarter, he is not
criticizing sven like Lampard instead he is doing it the other way
round, by saying good things about McClaren... Talk about carrying
balls (angkat bodak)...
JOHN TERRY has hailed Steve McClaren as the manager with
the passion to guide England to a new era of success - and revealed
he is desperate to be his new captain.
Terry is adamant McClaren was the right choice to succeed Sven
Goran Eriksson, whose reign as England boss ended with the World
Cup quarterfinal exit against Portugal, a defeat the defender rates
as the worst moment of his career.
McClaren - who was Eriksson's No.2 - officially takes charge
tomorrow and Terry believes his enthusiastic and passionate style
will restore national pride.
Terry's relationship with McClaren will grow stronger than ever now
he seems certain to be given the captaincy ahead of Steven
Gerrard.
"The ultimate ambition for me is to become England captain. There
are many players in, contention. "Hopefully with the experienced
I've gained II over the last couple of years as Chelsea captain
I'll give Steve McClaren ' something to think about and it will
come into play. He's not spoken to me about it.
"I'm pleased my name's being touted, it's obviously a nice feeling.
Fingers crossed I get it because it's the ultimate.
Looks like nowadays, to be captain you must learn how to carry
balls besides playing well...
I guess Steve McClaren's nuts must be really heavy, when Lampard,
Terry & Gerrard all rushing to leave it...
