laurence82 SG if the money goes towards church, its realli ok, but as long as the money doesnt land into pockets of pastors and such same, if money meant for buidling temples and mosques goes towards imam and monks, there is a fraud here....
laurence82 SG well, we havent define what is the 'product' here yet....and whether we are talking form spiritual perspective or pure money making perspective....
weidev SG whether it really goes to the church nobody noes... juz like money earned in a company hw many % goes to the boss onli the boss noes... eg. company earns 10k boss say net profit is 1k but in reality is 9k... tax and everything done by the boss so worker lan lan cannot say anything also...
devoid05 SG rite... but why reconcile mlm with chc when they are altogether two different matters? mlm is purely secular while chc associates itself with religion.
laurence82 SG wait wait....ur first point i agree..no third party check we wouldnt noe... but in sole proprietorship, the boss has the right and in fact, its natural, that he keep 100% of profits... of cuz he stil must pay workers lah, under the labour laws....
laurence82 SG yah, one deals with spirtuality and one deals with money, but we are discussing along the line they have same structure...they are not totally dissimilar....
DriftingGuy SG Both mlm and city harvest church has a similar property: Faith in the existing structure. But whether is it true devotion or blind faith is up to individual interpretation
devoid05 SG i'm afraid you've got me all wrong. i was responding to cindyfeh's post. it was insensitive on her part to suggest that a church ought to be run in such a casual fashion. tt's an insult to the faith.
weidev SG so in this way of CHC... pastor kong has the right to keep all the profits since he is the founder as well as the head of the church... isn't that true?
laurence82 SG church leh, not biz.....ethically, he shouldnt do that.. well, its up to his church members..if he can bamboozle them to think he has the right to keep all the money, oh well...too bad for us...
devoid05 SG from a secular standpoint, it is permissible for him to entreat himself to the tithes n offerings the church collects every week. however, it is definitely not beneficial for him to do so, as he would be abusing his minted status as the leading founder of the church.
devoid05 SG wadever. the things that they do, its absolutely none of our business. we haf no right to judge em.
laurence82 SG correction. its human to pass judgment, therefore, we have right to pass judgement..just that we dont have right to take actions against them....
weidev SG he is a pastor... look at the pastor from the catholic church? i am nt saying something tat is impossible... but the way they are living their life right nw and their ability to show it to the public onli makes ppl question his financial statement right?
devoid05 SG i didn't say its impossible wad i said its permissible, bt not beneficial. yar... can't blame e public.
