What muz happen will happen, she fully believes in it, i remain skeptical but open..She told me it helped her..I told her "Your life is yours, there is no charity given and no one helps you, you just have to help yourself or die." Oh well, this concludes our tumultous relationship..

She fell sick 2 weeks ago from all the clubbing she had with her team, ended in the hospital..Cool huh?!?! I dont care..Thanx for asking anyway..

That is what most ppl think mlm is...which is not....if ur upline sit back and skim money off ur kar kia then u can leave the company...but if they help u up...yesh...it was meant to be that way. and if u say they sit back and wait for money....let me ask you...have they got what they deserve in the 1st place? did u ask them how much effort and stress they have to put in to be wat they are now? what u see here is the glory part...but u never tried their path, So am i right to say u cant judge their ethic?
At which part of mlm did u say they skim money off them?

MTI Enhances Safeguards on MLM Schemes Operating in Singapore

The Ministry of Trade and Industry has enhanced the safeguards on MLM schemes operating in Singapore, with the aim of protecting Singaporean consumers. The revised Multi-Level Marketing and Pyramid Selling (MLM) (Excluded Schemes and Arrangements) Order (MLM Exclusion Order for short) will take effect from 01 January 2002.

The Multi-Level Marketing (MLM) and Pyramid Selling (MLM) (Prohibition) Act (the MLM Act for short) was enacted in 1973 to protect consumers against harmful pyramid schemes. An illegal pyramid scheme will typically require participants to pay hefty upfront charges. In turn, the participants are promised attractive financial rewards for each additional participant recruited, as well as for all new participants brought in by their recruitees. As more salespersons are recruited, participants hope to recover their upfront charges and earn sizeable profits. Consequently, such pyramid-like structures will eventually run out of new recruits and collapse, resulting in those salespersons at the bottom of the pyramid losing all their upfront charges. Illegitimate MLM schemes usually share the following characteristics:

Promoters hype about how easy it is to earn money, that people can get very rich in a very short time and that the way to earn money is by recruiting others to join the scheme;

The commodity in question is not something one would normally buy at its price;

Participants are required to invest money into the scheme, whether in the form of a joining fee or buying inventory.

MLM is really having a very very bad reputation everywhere in the world. I think the nature and system of the business is not bad but many people who are in it that are bad.

Am new to this forum and it's interesting to see so much being discussed here on MLM....
Was a non-believer and now at a neutral stand....In the mid of reading up more on it before i decide to believe or not believe.
But i feel that one should not reject an idea / concept etc when you do not understand what it is all about. Disagree only if you know what it's all about. Don't just decide based on hearsay but instead, read more to gain the knowledge. Otherwise you are not giving yourself a chance to explore and know more options. But I believe that MLM is definitely here to stay, whether you like it or not. It's all part of life. Smile

btw,i was a non-believer till i went to listen to the presentation…therefore I myself know that it’s not that easy to convince non-believer especially when most have never been to any of the presentation…only thru hearsay…for non-believer,no point arguing too much unless u willing to listen,which can be benefical cos u may be missing out on things you never know of…won’t eleborate too much here but I can give you my personal experience if need be…even though I myself is into MLM,however I must agree that choosing the right company and right team is impt,cos the wrong company and people to be w/ will teach you the wrong things to do and that’s why giving bad image to mlm industry. some companies are more like diguised pyramid which I must agreed
