sgheartland SG Mouriho is smart. If Duff goes to Spurs it will strengthen Spurs and he will never allow the deal to happen. But if the buyer is Newcastle, then no problem for him.
stellazio SG spurs is also a london rival for chelsea ma, plus newcastle is also one of the biggest in england.
sgheartland SG Given Duff’s injury record, Newcastle has bought a nice companion for Owen and they can take turns or go to the treatment room together.
reyes SG good buy? i should say better sell from chelsea. 27 year old winger that is injury prone that play around half of the season matches, maybe run another 2-3 years max. with no value after that. good buy? i agree newcastle has the habit to buy injury prone player. sames goes to middlesbrough.
Poolman SG Don't know why did Newcastle always willing to pay over price players .... i wouldn't be surprise if Duff gets injured frequently at Newcastle . Think Newcastle new skipper Scott Parker has a hand in the transfer .
sgheartland SG no alan shearer, owen and bellamy, still no top strikers come... THis season jilalat. LAst time they let people score but they still can score, this time no strikers, how to win.
prataforbreakfast SG It's a good buy for Newcastle. Duff, although injury prone lately is proven quality. As for Chelsea, looks like Mourinho will be relying less on wingers next year.
BrUtUs SG yes, duff has signed for NU... but guess wat he was signed for just 5million pounds.... chelsea reali hates spurs n pool.... gd capture for toon...
dinky1409 SG To think about it Newcastle actually has an above average squad. Luque, Owen, Emre, Parker, Duff.. And the list goes on.. But sadly, all these players are injury prone..
dragg SG and they sold the world number one injury-prone player to real madrid. guess who? none other than JONATHAN WOODGATE. how many games has he played since his move to spain????
zocoss SG Duff has expressed delight at securing his move to Newcastle, claiming his heart told him to head to Tyneside. The Magpies unveiled the dashing winger at a press conference at St James' Park on Monday, having secured his services from Chelsea for a £5 million fee over the weekend. Only 5m not 11m? ... really worth the money.
The man who was death SG james milner u shld come to villa now!!! there’s no place for u in st james park!!
zocoss SG DAMIEN DUFF asked for a move because he was not prepared to become one of Chelseas fat cat superstars on the sidelines. The 27-year-old winger knew his time at Stamford Bridge was up when he realised he would not figure much in Jose Mourinhos plans this season. He turned down the chance to join Tottenham and Liverpool to sign a five-year contract with Newcastle. And he is desperate to start playing regular football again rather than just drawing a huge salary for doing nothing.
dragg SG news reported 9.5 million. duff decision to go to newcastle is a good one. he definitely will have first time place as long as he is fit. and he stands a chance to be a legend like shearer.
