Man U should Buy Hargreaves instead of Carrick

zocoss SG

I think man u should go for Owen Hargreaves instead of Carrick cos he is more stable in the holding role and also more experienced. i think he waill cost lesser than carrick too. Maybe around $8M pounds will do.

Owen Hargreaves is 25yrs old from Jan 06.
Height 5.11

Michael Carrick will be 25yrs end of july 06.
Height 6.0

reaaly dono how to judge him...played 1 good match but does it realy mean he's good?scully is another kleberson in the making...then again he doesn hav a chance to prove himself in matches...i realy dono... Confused

Well, he is playing for the German Champion Bayern Munich in the Bundesligaand he is a first team regular in that team too, so he can't be that bad a player... Anyway, he has out perform Lampard & Gerrard not to mention carrick at the WC06.

hargreaves is more expensive than carrick since he is from BM. BM wont sell him after his WC performance. carrick can get cos spurs got zakora already

tarcki SG

hahahaha.. how u noe 8million pounds will do??

SexyChin SG

You think you want to buy the other team want to sell?

Unless you buy out the buy out clause.

zocoss SG

Well, because players in the German Bundesligaand don't cost much. Even Champion Bayern Munich's star left back Philip Lahm was valued at 10.5 M by Chelsea recently only.

Generally, german transfer fee is not as much as those in England, Spain & Italy. more sensible priced. And previously, spurs was keen on Owen and the price mentioned then was within the range of below 10M Pounds.

read that Manchester United have now upped their offer to a ludicrous £16m for carrick. Rolling Eyes

16 million is way to much!

I can imagine Man utd kicking off the season without any signings.

stellazio SG

well since man utd play 3 in midfield. carrick could be the central midfielder and the dm they still gotta sort it out.hargreaves, gattuso whatever.

That is a very good suggestion. A player who can survive so long in Bayern Munich cannot be too bad.

Personally I think Man U should have gotten Zokara. who’s better than both of them and cheaper too.

for all MUFC fans, I think each year, we hear the same from SAF, the squad is equipped to face and challenge Chelsea. we will make signings when it benefits us.

and when JAn's window opens, most players are cup-tied and we can get no-one.

looking at the MF, it was one Oshea and Giggs, would a SAF tolerate this 3-5years ago??

We are moving backward and I would want changes to happen, right at the top.

SAF to go...
