It's precisely because of this "live and let live" mentally that
most Singaporeans have lost the will to protest against anything at
all.

We used to be at the mercy of Singtel (formerly Singapore Telecom),
then M1 came in (what a breath of fresh air!) and then Starhub
(which temasek has a stake in). With 2 major players under the
govt, the presence of M1 may make market forces redundant.
And then a few years back, Starhub started holding all the rights
to CableTV. Under a monopoly, we are being manipulated by the swirl
of a finger.
