Hi I am a neutral soccer fan.
I can't believe none of you all praise T and T for the way they
maintained a clean sheet for a combined 172 minutes against England
and Sweden, widely considered to be the top guns from Europe.
T and T is a small country with a population of merely 1.1MILLION
PPL, 1/4 the population of Singapore! At least they managed to
reach the world cup, and nearly created shock when 10-men T and T
nearly won against Sweden when Stern John hit the crossbar. I don't
think any Singaporean should criticize T and T's way of football
since they managed to achieve their World Cup dream
while Sinagpore can't even reach the second qualifying round.
Against England, these players, who mostly plied their trade in the
lower divisions, only have once in a lifetime to play against these
so-called top players from EPL. In the first 82 minutes, England
simply pump balls into the penalty box without any clear objective.
Its only a moment of genius from Beckham (for the cross-I don't
give any credit to Crouch) and Gerrard that sparred England's
blushes.
Maybe I am getting emotional, but I don't bet on soccer so I tend
to give a more objective view.
