Czech Republic has always been one of my all-time favourites:
humble, entertaining, full of flair and a team that plays to
win.
The major problem is their long injury list and an aging team
without young replacements waiting in the wings.
That they beat USA was not surprising. That they empathetically
beat them 3-0 was fantastic. They had everything: quality of the
distribution, awareness off the ball, defensively compact at the
back and lethal in front of goal.
To me they are one of the most complete teams at the moment. Nedved
and Rosicky make a great midfield partnership.
