SCTV will be showing World Cup matches

BUT, my malay friend told me that in the SCTV website, there is a news saying that SCTV will show all the matches only in indonesia.

So in singapore, we will not be able to watch.

By the way, SCTV is at 679.20 MHZ.

And one more thing, RCTI will be showing spain league and sometime UEFA cup.

Hi guys,

Why is it that so many countries can provide free to air services? But why is it our country free to air (Mediacorp) cant do the same? I think starhub is just doing business. We pay for what we need. Mediacorp being our Free to Air broadcaster should try to fight for the rights.

Our country is small, hence company's placing ads won't pay too high a price for spots (main source of income for tv company). The broadcast rights of the World Cup is really ex, so the purchasing company will need some way to recoup their "Investment". I don't like it too, but that's just the way things are as they say "Business is Business"....

Remove ur antenna cable from the scv point, u hinted that u stay in newer hdb right? so in order to tune to SCTV's frequency, u can only use an indoor antenna*, and plug it into ur tv set. Scrap ur scv point if u want to watch SCTV, use a indoor antenna. You won't be able to tune in to SCTV using scv point, yah, the one that gives us the blur blur RTM1 channel from Starhub, scrap it. *self purchase. make sure it can receive UHF frequency.
