Yeah I know its a bit too late but I went to see the competition
at Ngee Ann City, expecting to see some nice freestyling soccer but
WTF? I saw potential stars in WWE sia... What a let down although I
saw a few whizzes from a few people. Fights almost happen because
it was basically brawns that matter in the competition. Lol. Take a
look at the U-23 winners in the newspapers. See what I mean. the
U-20 was much better. The winners for that category I saw was not
bad. One of the guy quite skillfull. A few guys I knew, played with
them before, took part in the competition. They are damn skillfull,
each of them. Kudos to them for trying to play the beautiful game
but their skills lose out to the pushing-arounds, the
ram-the-ball-only, sweeping-of-legs, squeeze-in-the-corner, and
whatsoever that you can see in a WWE match. Lol.
This Sat 6 May, the Boys from Brazil will come down to Siloso Beach
and take on the winners. Don't think we can defend our turf after
all.
