BoBin SG

I am saddened Sad by the New Paper's report on 10 Apr 2006..Shhh. Twisted Evil ..give me your wallets,..

Have we become such chickens that a wispering stranger can robbed 3 graduated NS men of everything worthy on them in JB? And then obeyed his order to march back "All the while we were looking behind us." to Singapore?

It reminded me of an incident when I was a kid Very Happy . We Evil or Very Mad beat and chased our neighbour's dog and it ran so fast, looking behind with its tail inbetween its legs, into a banana tree Exclamation

I think the wispering stranger is considerate otherwise he would have asked them to strip Embarassed before walking back!! I could imagine what they would say - Confused Embarassment we can take. We cared more for our lives .

I really have no place to hide my face

CoolMyth SG

Safety first mah. Cannot blame them. Laughing

You want them to be heroes and possibly die in the process?

dragg SG

not chicken lah.

it just shows how little confidence singaporeans have in the malaysian police.

iceFatboy SG

if the stories about gangs are true, you risk not coming back at all.

I rem Jackie Chan was robbed in US for his watch, and he gave it to them. And he said, no point using your own life as stake.

so be hero, you may die, be chicken, learn a lesson, lose some money and come home safely, you choose lor.

Ah Cek SG

these poor NS chaps maybe not trained in unarmed combat. how to retaliate? if retaliated may lost their lives…

NightHunter83 SG

True la, Malaysian police zo bo one.. just know how to receive kopi money. Even cigarettes can use to bribe them if u get caught by the traffic police

blackchickenahkai SG

ne0matrix SG

Don't talk big lah.

I would like to see how you react.

shandower SG

Your life is the most valuable thing you have.

cyrusv SG

though i am a malysian.. got to tell u that even i got no faith in the police there.. Confused

But i wud not hesistate to smack the living hell out of that robber, though i may die, who wouldn't die? it only how and why... Razz

R3SsH|n SG

yea...such a sudden incident...they might not know how to react...but with 3 persons to 1...i would have fancy my chance if i were them...
blame it on the lawless m. government...

FireIce SG

i think they did right to obey
in a foreign land, u are at disadvantage
and having heard the horror stories about the local police, i dun think u would wanna act hero and try to take the matter in ur own hands..

MGGUN SG

No one have the rights to say them are chicken…..Because we ourself not in their shoe at that point of time….and some more in other country not in Singapore…..They did the right choice for that…..

ditzy SG

If they didn't do what they did, we probably wouldn't know they did what they did. Laughing

deathscythe99 SG

U in foreign territory, must always remember....plus not having full grasp of the local language doesn't do u any good Rolling Eyes

i_luv_clit04 SG

Andy yet they, even the minister, can accuse of our newspapers of making biased reports...come on, the statistics speak for themselves. Their own citizens admit it too. JB is crime-plagued They just refuse to admit it. So I really do not understand why so many Singaporeans still like to go there just for cheap stuff. Just forget it, stay in Singapore and help our own economy

iceFatboy SG

well, there is a huge percentage of singapore visitors that are not robbed when they go to MALAYsia.

I believe they don't speak the same slang and the locals do know that they are singaporean, but they are not robbed.

But all know that they are loaded with money, so perhaps we can ask some of our malay friends to share with us how they disguise so that they are less targetted??

i_luv_clit04 SG

FACTS:
1) Singaporeans are rich compared to them, they are jealous, they wan our $$
2) Siingapore cars fetch a higher price on the black market coz ours are generally better maintained

NON-FACT:
1) Malaysian media never try to publish articles that would damage bilateral relationship
TOTAL BULLS***

Just grab a copy of the New Straits Times if u still choose to go up north and read. If there is an article on Singapore, it is most likely not very pleasant. Simple logic - such articles make for juicy news and hence higher readership which in turn translate into more $$$
