for all races, they are different nicknames given.
but hey, if you were sitting in a corner of Orchard MRT, I bet you
can come up with many nicknames just looking at the people moving
around.
Like "slits-eyes, stick figures, fat bum, etc etc".
The point is we think we are all picture perfect and we just like
to use a term to describe others. It is inborn, from the moment you
come into this world.
"wow, baby so cute". later, i found people telling me cute, is ugly
but adorable. So cute has went from nice to really
undesirable.
Same as the term for Indian friends, it was meant as term to
differentiate another race, but use it otherwise, and it becomes an
attack.
I think after 911, we really don't need any other events that can
distablises singapore or the economy. Most of us wants to study,
get good jobs, that can give us some money so that we can get our
dream car, holidays, dream house and marry our dream gals/guys. For
those with other plans, I am talking generally.
It will be really silly just to start a war just becos of what you
are and something you can't change.
So for all friends, if you get a negative remark or someone
eye-ball, brush it off, and move on. No worth, getting into fights
& arguements, instead look for big picture - YOUR FUTURE!!.
