We escaped due not to our brillance but to Liverpool inability to
put the goal in the net.
Ask Cisse 'with whatever on his head' how he miss as he tried the
SAF method of prone and attack..
but I was quite amazed at the instant playback that showed the
goal-line clearance. Wow.. And if I am not wrong, it DID NOT CROSS
the line. What a ripple effect that will create if similiar to
Carroll's howler.
Anyway, with a MF that showcase Giggs, Fletcher, Oshea and
richardson, I expected an onslaught. And we almost got one.
And given the media spotlight, it was no surprise that the referee
was at least neutral. Any other refs would have given SGerrard a
yellow for the tackle on Rooney. And I really thank the invention
of Shinpads for Giggs' sake.
All in all, surprisingly, our defence held. Rio got his act
together and Brown did not barge an inch. If our new signing is in
the Stam-mould, we got the right formula. Stam & Rio, all MUFC
dream combo. Yes, We got the correct french left back in Evra. He
looks promising. And his willingness to roam and explore remind me
of what Heinze used to do. And we managed to keep Kewell in check
on the right after what he did to Spurs.
Apart from Richardson's eagerness, I found his quality wanting. he
did well in WBA but hey, this is MUFC, and I can't see him keeping
his place there for long. And OShea, who managed to keep a clean
"jersey", I did not see a single tackle from our DM. what a
shame.
And for any MUFC-dreamers fans out there, we won't catch Chelsea,
they already champions cause they won't drop points and all credit
to Charlton, they managed to stop Chelsea from have a perfect
record @ home.
Liverpool still has two games in hand. So if we do well winning 80%
till end of season, we may get 3rd place at least. Any worse and we
could lose everything. Bolton, Spurs & Arsenal are fighting for
the 4th spot or better and MUFC better keep clear of that cause it
is really neck-breaking down there.
just one theory from Gooners lost, I believe it is the crowd. when
FreddieL was asked to be right back, I thought AW lost it. Henry
seems non-committed. Like what was mentioned, AW seems to want to
rebuild for the future cause he would have gotten two 24 years old
to stablise, instead he got a two 18+ and one 16+. But will Henry
stays if they don't get CL?
Btw, anyone caught Sissoko after he made one face-down challenge,
he came up with his lips and face white from the paint, look like
Santa.
Well, Liverpool fans quite creative, changed the song "born in the
USA" to "Sold to the USA", their 18 league titles, and 5 european
cups. Well, all respect to their past glories.
Sorry, we just beat the current European Cup Champions and we
failed to acknowledged that.
