Messi is 169m. Before he joined barca he had height problems and he was standing at 1.4m tall playing at the argentinian club. Barca told his family they wou...

marcteng SG

Maradona said Lionel Messi is his next replacement and his showing on wednesday in the CL against del horner shows that.

I think Messi is not as good as maradona. sure he got potential to be good in future, but truth be told, he is not as good as maradona.

giggs was said to be the next George Best, but he didnt quite live up to that tag.

Rooney as next Pele after Euro 2004 lol. thats a bit 2 much isn't it.

What abt Cheyrou as the next Zidane a few years back. where is Cheryrou now, next zidane indeed lol.

u cannot get a guai guai boy to b maradona, u ned a explosive n arrogant character to b maradona Laughing

marcteng SG

in terms of talent and skill lar, not character wise.

ya messi is talented, but maradona was up there with the likes of pele and George Best.

RaTtY81 SG

yea esp the 2 goals scored against england, 1 was a total cheat, the other was a total genius

Marco_Simone SG

In the late 90s,Ortega was the next Maradona
In the early 2000s,Aimar and Saviola were the next Maradonas
In the mid 2000s,Tevez and Messi are the next Maradonas

RaTtY81 SG

conclusion : no1 can replace maradona Laughing

Patrik SG

Indeed Messi is a very talented player, much much more better than Rooney or Robinho.
But i believe that we will never find another Maradona in this world other than the real man himself.

dragg SG

he has a lot of potential.

but whether he can be as good as maradona only time will tell.

it is not easy to emulate him.

the 3 best goals of world cup

stellazio SG

the similarities are disturbing..i think his skills can be improved to maradona standard or maybe even more since he's still so young...

but i do hope that he wun cheap enroute to the greatness waiting for him..

marcteng SG

Maradona skills at his age is already sublime le.

Messi has lots to catch up before he can reach maradona standard.

lpx88 SG

Messi is messi
Rooney is rooney
Maradona is maradona
Pele is Pele
Messi is not maradona
nor rooney is Pele

coz they all have their different distinct qualities...that's wad i fink... Rolling Eyes

thoreldan SG

Pele or Maradona is more skillful?

RaTtY81 SG

hard to make a choice btw pele n maradona Confused

lpx88 SG

perhaps Rolling Eyes ya...though rooney is superb i don realy see him as the 'new pele'...coz to me rooney jus chiong for the ball and defences...more like playmaker..messi i nt sure ...haven realy see him play...

R3SsH|n SG

talent...sure he has...
next maradona:hard to say...

very good in the future:definately...

Marco_Simone SG

Oh ya.I forgot about Andre D Alessandro-another Maradona.

He is at a lowly EPL club as a reserve right now if not I am not wrong?

ThaliaX SG

rooney sucks. owen already scoring fantastic goals for england at age of 18. rooney so old still never made any impact for england. ain’t people expecting too much from him? he is overrated. lucky thing liverpool don’t want him.

UandMe SG

rooney did not make any impact for England? did u even watch Euro 2004? it's basically his one-man show for England and his injury marked the end of Euro 2004 for England.

lpx88 SG

wtf did u see his england mathces and most of his man u matches...he was influential..he was everywhere...going for the ball making spaces and playmakin.
