Wigan Athletic's success this season can be an inspiration to all
lower division clubs and players, says manager Paul Jewell.
"I believe the Wigan story gives everybody hope," Jewell told the
Guardian. "It gives hope to every so-called lower club, to every
so-called lower player - Jimmy Bullard cost us £275,000 from
Peterborough three years ago. We took a chance. Together we have
made it work and he's now being talked about as a possible
international.
"But overall this season, personally I've enjoyed our freshness,
our lack of fear. I hope that can happen in Cardiff as well.
There's a lot goes into every game, Wigan aren't just a bunch of
scallies."
