Personally i dun really like both Arsenal and Arsene Wenger that
much...
but then again.. their way of playing football is always something
to behold..
Alot of ppl have been saying that it is a rebuilding season for the
Gunners.. after Vieira left, Gunner fans have been asking why and
whom they r going to replaced him with..
I felt that Wenger is doing the correct thing in not splashing out
cash for panic buys... Although they are still missing Vieira
badly, but at least it would give Fabregas a chance to show his
undoubted talents..
Gilberto has shone since Vieira left.. and with Hleb being such a
good runner both with or without the ball... Arsenal's midfield
still looked pretty neat..
While upfront , once Henry is not playing , the whole strikeforce
jus lack the edge and threat.. Bergkamp is a superb player but his
strikerate isn't as good as before.. Reyes showed brilliance but
jus in flashes...
Van Persie can't score 15 goals a season...
As for why Wenger is spending less than Spurs and Liverpool..
i think the answer would be revealed at the end of the season, when
they would finished above the 2 teams mentioned above...
Who Arsenal need this coming January window.. currently the market
doesn't have any outstanding players.. as the thread-starter
mentioned , Iaquinta is availble.. but Wenger doesn't buy this sort
of "big" striker.. it doesn't fit into their way of
playing...
at the back.. Senderos , Toure and Campbell are the only available
centrebacks... (No .. Cygan isn't considered a centreback.. he is
Shite !)
don't think that west ham would let Anton Ferdinand off on the
cheap.. maybe a cheaper option would be Zak Knight of Fulham ?
