theo walcott -- rejected chelsea

troyer SG

where should he be playing?

i think right wing... with reyes on left... diaby and fabregas in the middle... van persie and lupoli upfront...

ghimpheng SG

your post is nothing related to the topic or shall I say ur topic is nothing related to your post ? And it seems like anti-chelsea post.

he rejected chelsea for 1 simple and good reason : he fear that he cannot hold a place in first team football as Chelsea was too competitive for a youngerster like him as if affect his development if he don't play regularly

tarcki SG

or maybe he juz like arsenal more compare to chelsea. Very Happy

JusStatic SG

It is true Walcott likes Arsenal more than Chelsea. Before the move he already spoke of his admiration for Arsenal's super striker Thierry Henry, I think that is another major big factor for him choosing Arsenal over Chelsea besides being afraid of not being able to cement a first team place in a star-studded Chelsea side. A smart move by the talented youngster Smile

Not every big player or talented youngster likes to go Chelsea, just like Ronaldinho's preference of Barca over Man Utd or Alberto Gilardino's preference of Milan over Juventus. There is simply nothing wrong with choosing Arsenal over Chelsea. Neutral

Parka SG

He won't get enough playing time at Chelsea with all the other big players around.

iveco SG

I think John Obi Mikel and Freddy Adu are dumb farks for choosing Stamford Bridge over Old Trafford. At least Alex Ferguson has some real use for their talents at the latter ground.

dragg SG

either they are after the money or the medals.

Demonwolf SG

I think he will be playing either upfront as a striker or in the midfield ...
Arsenal lacks people in both places and their midfield is too young.
He might take over Henry in the future or he might just play in the midfield as they are lacking people. Anyway, his move to Arsenal is the correct one as he will get a chance very soon compared to Chelsea.

dragg SG

arsenal might play him against liverpool.

nanren4ever SG

Why NOT? Let's face it, Chelsea is the dominant english team in the EPL now. They have money, they have a great team of players who Adu and Mikel can learn from, and the prospect of winning a medal is far HIGHER than if they go and play for Man Utd.

If you are a talented young player, would you like to play, develop and grow with a team of super players like those with Chelsea, or you like to play with bunch of flops, jokers, and old coconuts, like those with Man U?

Chelsea is the smart choice. Man U? Wakakakaa~~~ Come on, Man U already have so many jokers, why add more? why waste all the talents?

Hi HafizulKMS,

I totally agree with you.

would you like to play with a team who won the league twice or you rather play with a team that won the league more than twice? But I respect that Chelsea is the flavour of the year now. (sorry, here, we must wait till the game against west ham before they confirmed twice EPL league winners hor).

I believe Chelsea is doing something good in developing youth players cause they believe their money can't attract good players anymore.

After a while no body wants to play just for money. They want more than just a EPL medal or FA cup. So good players will drift out of EPL.

It will be sad loss for EPL, if Henry leaves for you won't see his genius anymore, or for that matter, Rooney, StevenG or even FLampard.

Cause in Italian League, Spanish League, week in week out, you playing against the best in the world. No offense to EPL.

And I believe even Roman knows that. Soon, his interest in EPL will dwindle, and well, he will move on.where he can rub shoulders with royalty like spain, or the italian giants. And then Chelsea will dry up.

finoq SG

oi man, ppl from Southampton are no joke! Evil or Very Mad

iceFatboy SG

and talking about flops.... I do like the way Robben got his head "cropped off". he is in the running for an oscar, I believe - "best simulation".

worry about this only after chelsea has broken all the EPL records.

finoq SG

hehheh.

Yes, you do have a point to make. However, is there any guarantee that a player who joins Chelsea will be guaranteed a first-team place? The example of Shawn Wright-Phillips speaks for itself.

That's right, I believe if you are a good talented young players, you wouldn't want to play for a club who only left HISTORY. But you will rather join a club who have great future, and be part of their history.

So what left with Man U? Answer: Old Dreams.

flying`winger SG

I think young players now shouldn't go to chelsea if they can go to other big clubs. It's nothing to do with what i think about chelsea, but look at it this way. Would you rather, as a player, sit around and play for only 4/5 matches a season or play for more than that?

Youngsters who go to chelsea are wasting their time simply because chelsea has too many good players. And i doubt mourinho has a history of nurturing young talent.

It's not as simple as joining a team for the sake of winning.

HafizulKMS SG

It depends. If the player is good and confident, they should join Chelsea. Players like Rooney and Ronaldo who is with low self confidence should join lousy club like Man U. So that they can play regulary.

If you are on the bench with Chelsea, it's simply means that you are not good enough. I don't see Roben or Cech on the bench often.

Chelsea is the best choice, unless the player do not have belief towards himself.
