Which is more durable - BMW or Mercs?

Hi, which brand is more reliable and doesn't give frequent problems? I heard from my clients that Mercs don't break down easily while BMW tend to give more problems. Is it true?

wah.. lexus no good.. my 10 yr old civic.. smoke inside with aircon on alot of times.. still running good.. xD

not all wrecked parts and crumple zones. well, some cars like the QQ have crumple zones, in fact the whole car is a crumple zone. tsk

with the rising cost of high quality materials and investors wanting to reap higher profits.. such durable car as the w124 can never be achieved..

gone were the good old days of hardy merc.. but till date.. reputable continental cars still have very tough bodies though the cheaper quality of materials used..
