Hmm how come I don't see or hear people complain when Man Utd won 3 titles in a row and dominate the EPL during the mid-ninties?

HafizulKMS SG

Hey man, you got brain!! Good one!!

Man U fans are just Glory Hunters! For sure.

dragg SG

they used to be one of the most exciting teams in the FA cup.

i love osvaldo ardiles and steve archibald, the one and only time argentinians were successful in england.

Jeno SG

I think any supporters support their teams.. because they played a certain type of attractive football..

the difference between Normal Club Supporters and Glory Hunters is that they will stick with their clubs , be it whether they are basking in glory or down in the doldrums...

why so many ppl are critizing man utd & chelsea fans as glory hunters.. it's probably because they have seen more than their fair share of club hoppers..

As for myself.. i have seen a hell lot of fellow "Man Utd" supporters.. where they don't even know that Becks had left for Madrid.. and now they have left for the greener pastures of Abramovich Rumbles..

but i have to stress again.. quite a number of Blue fans have stick w their teams thru thick & thin...

be it u are Chelski , Man utd or even Wigan fans.. respect other ppl opinions..

Oops.. forgot to mention..
i'm not a "Glory Hunter" from the Treble season era..

i'm way much earlier than that..

I'm a "Glory Hunter" from the 1994 season..
where Man Utd thrashed Chelsea in the FA Cup Final..
4-0 ! Thanks to King Eric , Sparky and Choccy !

wow.. the players u mentioned .. are hall of famers arent they ? heard about them.. perhaps in the 80's

ive only started the a season before klinnsman was around , he was awsome and insipiring

Nelstar SG

Spurs rocks.

Mr. Green

WiNtEr'SkiLL SG

yup!

hopefully they get a good finish this season
im fully aware they can do it , midtable are a thing of the past

this week they can beat Arsenal i know !

Nelstar SG

My prediction Spurs 2, Arsenal 0.

1 og by Sol Campbell
1 goal by Mido!

dragg SG

i dont really like jol's long ball tactic.

always about heading, very few clear cut chances.

Nelstar SG

There's not much wing play considering Spurs' midfield.

He solved the problem left by Jacques...

Laughing

dragg SG

ya. too bad you werent old enough to watch then. the skills of the 2 argentinians made spurs so wonderful to watch.

i will not forget. that was spurs most glorious days.

they really brought the best out of FA cup.

wonder why they dont sign argentinians anymore?

Nelstar SG

Look at Crespo and Veron.

And you'll find answers for your question.

Laughing

WiNtEr'SkiLL SG

i guess it depends on the coach mentalily

Jol is Dutch so he searches for players in Netherlands , Mr. Green
Watch Benitez , hes practically bringing in Spanish players only

WiNtEr'SkiLL SG

would like to learn about from u about the clubs glory days
Mr. Green

JusStatic SG

Good to see that alot of the people in this section of the forum are true fans of their supported clubs. :-) May the clubs you guys support be successful

Nelstar SG

Well done Super Chelsea, out of Carling Cup.

Let's predict how many screw-ups Super Chelsea is going to have.

I predict...

Champs League, FA Cup, League Cup.

Laughing

Jeno SG

Actually spurs did sign a few argentine.. i remembered one.. Mauricio Tarrico.. although he was quite a bad example of Argentina Footballers Laughing

I actually thought Martin Jol did a pretty fine job at White Hart Lane.. bringing in Davids was a masterstroke..
w/o Davids .. Carrick don't really perform well..
Aaron Lennon has been exciting and providing much-needed width down the right.. for both Spurs and England U21..

Jenas goals have been an unexpected bonus.. Lee Young Pyo seems to be settling well.. Ledley King as soild as a rock (who need campbell ?)..

It would be a real disappointment if Spurs don't make the UEFA cup spots at least..

Come this wkend.. Gunners would come visiting.. hopefully this match lives up to the one last season (or was it the season b4 last?) ... 5-4.. if i didn't rmb wrongly..

And of coz.. not forgetting my own team.. where we will try to go to riverside and get a result.. Come on Rooney ! Mr. Green

Hopefully your prediction will be spot on ! Laughing

Martin Jol is great, but we can never forget Frank Arnesen was part of the party that brought the guys.

Too bad we lost him, but Martin Jol brought in one of my favorite players for Spurs...

Edgar Davids. The man who had 3 lungs. The man who won the battle of midfield against Patrick Viera.

Mr. Green

Jeno SG

Davids even outbattled Makelele and Frank Lampard.. during Chelski's visit to WHL..

too bad Mido was harshly sent off..
