Why not just say you are bogus? Makes more sense. How many here believe you? Those who believe..please raise hand.

all i haf to say is this depends on individual preference... i may not like jacky cheung's voice or andy lau's singing style, but doesnt mean i haf to say they doesnt haf talent.... its all up to own choice of song... even if a singer doesnt sings well, sure got ppl appreciate it... composer singers got alot, but not all got the fame... some talents juz dun get recognised...

laosu SG

For as far as I know...it was she herself that didn't really want to sing as a professional. Her voice talent is good enough to be on par with several professional singers like Kit Chan and Steph Sun.

Those who haven't seen her sing "Live" and I really mean "Live" and hear her singing right in front of your eys 20 steps away and not in the TV. You'll be fully pulled by her angelic voice.

Just to add one more comment. I won't use the word "Pretty" on her but I'll describe her as a very beautiful woman gifted with good voice. As for whom she is married too...just too bad for the rest and a good blessing for the husband Very Happy

dragg SG

a lot of people have good vocals and sing very well but being on the big stage is a very much different matter. luck aside. in order to keep going you need to captivate your fans. it is not easy with the number of newcomers joining the entertainment scene each year. and many slipped into oblivion after one or two albums!!!

where is xu mei qin? how popular is kit chan? dont they have good vocals too?

stephanie is no different. but how did she can sustain her popularity? it is because of the uniqueness of her singing style, not just good vocals alone. it makes her stand out. not easily replaceable.

go music dreamer, my dear... dats Live... and they are using a rather simplified console without any effects or reverbs to boost her voice... hence, wat u hear is wat u get... dun expect a powerful vox from her... wat is unique about her is she can touch ur heart wid her voice and u dun get tired of it... go listen and u know wat i mean... it is worth the time and effort...

and i totally agree wid ur comment but her appearance...she's not pretty but beautiful... beautiful voice as well..

coolger03 SG

she has actually released an album too... piece of my dreams....
it's really nice.... love her voice.... really sweet and angelic.... Very Happy

pls pls pls. u guys really do not know a thing abt the music scene. there r tonnes of talents in sg & in the world but the sad thing is most of them will age & eventually die b4 any sort of stardom cos being n artiste is even more difficult than striking toto. its not whether u r pretty or sexy or even whether u can sing or can write any songs. its the X factor plus lots lots lots lots lots of luck & PR in order 4 u 2 b noticed. can sing better than step & kit chan? 4 u 2 b able 2 compare, u have u hear them all sing live. have u? but anyway, its true tat she doesnt 1 2 b pro, doesnt 1 2 sell her songs, reason, she knows herself, but even if she does, will they sell? tat will b a question mark.

carpe diem jur SG

yesh i agree, we might not know, but we are speakin from our own pont of view... even if we are ignorant, dats becoz we are the listeners, not the producer !!! thank u for ur info, i do accept... u haf heard them sing Live????? i haf heard step's first few demos, other dan her unique style and voice, she do not haf that kinda powerful vox as well, but we are not comparing here, juz trying to share our opinions, regardless good or bad... no offence !!

carpe diem jur SG

ooh... not forgetting, music producers, audio engineers, directors, composers, etc, all face the same fate ya.... can a producer bring out the best of an artist or help a new artist make it BIG, is another question mark...

guitarist SG

cai li lian where got pretty? Her voice good meh?
She is just a plain and ordinary looking gal.
I saw her at TFS in Bugis. She so so only lah.
Her voice is also so so only. Many karaoke goers
can sing better than her. SHe make the right choice
for not going into the music industry because she can
never make it big.

crazy monkey SG

have you hear her sing before ? you think you are better ? sour grapes Laughing

MRMUSICPRODUCER SG

no prob guys. jus 1 2 let u guys know wats actually goin on. as 4 the stupid person who said sour grapes, i did the recording of tat so called nice song called guan huai fang shi. ppl r actually like sheep. follow here and there. a song, how simple it can b will b nice aft u hear it again & again & again.

crazy monkey SG

sour grapes Laughing

are you steven lim btw ?

dragg SG

i hate to say this. most xin yao singers cannot sing. their vocals are not marketable. hence we dont see them in the international scene.

crazy monkey SG

Wu Qi Xian is xin yao singer. wei song shi song start off wif xin yao also Rolling Eyes

dragg SG

imo wu qi xian is not a good singer. is he still popular now? the answer is no.

wei song shi song cant sing too. they are good producers and composers. do they still sing? they dont!!!

dont get me wrong. i have respect for these people. they are talented. but i am sure they know where their talent lies. thats why they dont sing anymore.

crazy monkey SG

he use to be quite popular. ten years from now nobody will remember sun yan zhi Laughing

guitarist SG

To me, can sing means like jacky cheung, fei yu qin, ah mei. These are the real good one. Cai li lian can sing but just like any tom dick harry that also sing in karaoke. I cant sing like jacky cheung but definitely better than cai li lian. But no way I can be a singer because can sing well is not everything, luck and X-factor very important. Sun yenzi damn ugly and her voice also very shaky when go high pitch ( no stamina ) but how come she so popular? I guess she is just lucky, there are millions out there that can sing better and pretty than her but cant make it too.

crazy monkey SG

fei yu qin sing like ah kua onli you like muahaaahhaahahaaa Laughing
