BillyBong SG why not? Bit-players or late bloomers should be given equal opportunity to fight for a place. Just look at Italy international Luca Toni. At 27, he is hitting the best form of his life. He is the current top scorer in the national team qualifiers and has resoundingly justified Marcello Lippi's selection. Andrew Johnson might do well if he was given a chance too.

England is like over-relying on certain players and and people like becks are 30 and really ought to step back abit and let the younger players prove themselves........ there is such a big field of players in England to choose from...... such a waste of talents..... this can also be see in most club, eg man utd currently.... they had been over-relying on certain players and now these players are gone or aging.... then they start to rebuild the team.... i find abit too late....
tarcki SG Beckham is in becoz he is a match winner from free kicks n corner, he can just win a match for england with his free kicks or corner. I think he still did a good job if he sticks to his right flank n not always move into center mid. Plus i think nolan shall be included in the team too, high workrate player who can score from range too. Maybe the holding MC role.
numby SG erikkson 1 2 play gerrard on the left…benitez playing him on the right flank for liverpool in recent games, gerrard shows how versatile and valuable he is to a team…where lampard cant b compared…if lampard was to play in either flank…think he will play badly

ah.em SG There's no harm picking Nolan for the upcoming friendlies. It gives us the oppurtunity to analyse the player at international level. If someone like Hargreaves can get a place in the squad, I don't see why Nolan can't.
