Sorry to hijack thread but since this is a mitsubishi thread, can I ask what's the sound coming out from an Evo whenever it changes its gear? A sharp and short "ossst". May I know too if all Evos have it? Thanks. (:

errr not sure whether it's blowout valve or blowoff valve... but you get the idea...

As per my previous reply, it is possible the sound that you heard from the Evo comes from it's BOV, or Blow Off Valve. And as per the title of your video, HKS SSQV Blow Off Valve EVO 8

A compressor bypass valve (CBV), also known as a compressor relief valve or diverter valve, is a vacuum-actuated valve designed to release pressure in the intake system of a turbocharged or centrifugally supercharged car when the throttle is lifted or closed.A blowoff valve, BOV does basically the same thing, but releases the air to the atmosphere.
