Genital herpes: a virus infection, which is caught during sex or by
close skin-to-skin contact with someone who has herpes .
If she experience pain or soreness on deeper penetration, it might
be caused by:
Chlamydia: a bacterial infection, which is caught by having sex
with someone who is infectious .
Cervicitis: an infection of the cervix (sometimes caused by
chlamydia), which is caught by having sex with someone who is
infectious .
Gonorrhoea: a bacterial infection, which is caught by having sex
with someone who is infectious .
Pelvic infection: can be caused by chlamydia or
gonorrhoea.
