From my various buddy and friends cases, well, it all depends on
age. It seems that the younger the couples, the shorter the
duration of the relationsip. Of course, there are different cases
too.
For the average 21 years old and above. I think..
1. Honey Moon (Foundation period) : half a year to 1 year
2. Not so Honey Moon period: 1 to 3 years (building rooms, walls,
doors, windows... corridors and path)
3. Moving on Period: average from 3 - 5 years. That is to get
married or not. Maybe it's me, but many of my friends broke up as
they are not able to move onto the next level, i.e. marriage,
family planning and so on.
(House deco.. layout.. colour schemes, renovations.. etc)
If nothing happens, well, one of them will starts to feel.. "Why
build a house when there is no value and we are not moving
in??"
