sickening pedophiles
"Several psychologists believe pedophilia is not encoded in the
pedophile's genes, that he is not born with it. But biology may
play a role. There is some preliminary evidence that pedophilia is
linked to abnormalities of the brain. This is far from being
proven, but a lot reports I read claim that this is a valid
possibility.
Psychologists distinguish two different types of pedophiles:
Regressed pedophiles who are sexually attracted to both children
and adults and become involved with children in the absence of a
satisfying adult relationship. Fixated pedophiles, however, have no
attraction to adults and find it very difficult to resist their
attraction to children.
There are pedophiles that wish they could eliminate their sexual
attraction to children. And there also are men who have no moral
problem with their sexual attraction to children.
Research has found that a sizable portion of the men who experience
an attraction to children were themselves victims of childhood
sexual abuse - 33% in one study. But it is also true that many
victims of sexual abuse do not become pedophiles as
adults."
