well...it's been a long 6 yrs since singapore lasts qualifies
for tiger cup semi finals(that yr,singapore went on to beat vietnam
in the final with a freak sasikumar goal and crowned southeast
asian champion for the 1st time in history...) and last 2 editions
of tiger cup is disappointing for the lions and the home fans !!!
with the worst result of a 4-0 thrashing by rivals malaysia in
kallang 2 yrs ago...
well...if the lions wanted to get back on track for its faraway
dreams of qualifying for world cup finals, they must really buck up
and go at least a semi finals this time around in the tiger cup.the
likes of indra shadan, alam shah, dickson and agu casmir got to score
and no more poor finishings !!!(we experience that for a long
time, especially last yr's sea games...too many misses against
myanmar and malaysia cost the younglions a place in semi
finals.)
