SINGAPORE : Shoppers along Orchard Road got more than they
bargained for on Thursday afternoon when four actresses in bikinis
were spotted running down the busy shopping street.
But it wasn't Baywatch in town; it was a scene from 'The Champion',
a new MediaCorp Channel 8 TV serial.

Actresses Fiona Xie, Jeanette Aw, Felicia Chin, and Taiwan's Xiao
Qiao had to run down Orchard Road in their bikinis after the
characters they were portraying lost in a swimming competition
earlier.
They had to brave not only the afternoon shopping crowd, but also
the droves of clicking shutterbugs.
The serial will air in October -- and judging from this crowd the
sneak preview might be enough to get them hooked.
