my own experience....
when i was in the U, there was once I'm supposed to present during
a tutorial class. When it my turn, I got up an proceed to walk to
the front of the class, but my tutor indicated he not done talking
yet. So I stopped halfway. I remember there's an empty chair behind
me, so I sat down. But alas! my "helpful" classmate behind had
pulled the empty chair away for me to pass! I ended up sitting on
the floor and that day I was wearing a short skirt 
oni consolation is... i tink oni my tutor got the good view ...
