I have a question:
If you take a taxi outside SAF ferry terminal, is the $3 surcharge
from Changi Airfreight Centre (nearby within walking distance)
counted into the fare? Is there such a surcharge?
There was once I boarded a taxi opposite SAF ferry terminal heading
home at 12.30am. Upon reaching home which is near to 1am, I paid
the fare (including midnight charge) which is $27. Then the driver
asked for another $3, saying it's the surcharge for boarding from
Changi Airfreight Centre. I told him my boarding point is not at
the Changi Airfreight Centre but he insisted me to pay the $3,
argueing that from my boarding point, I need to pay. In the end, I
just paid him and that made my most expensive taxi ride. $30!
