Notice how heartbroken people (or you) are when their One True
Love[tm] turns out not to love 'em in return? It's always sad to
see someone getting all infatuated and struggling with the old
unrequited love dilemma.
When a member of the opposite sex sees you've got a lot of friends
and romantic hopefuls, they're more likely to want to get you while
the getting is good. In some cases, putting all your hopes into one
person translates to nothing more than simple desperation.
Hell, even when you're boyfriend/girlyfriendy, you should at least
have a few irons near the fire...
