I am doing this out of concern. I wish to collect the data and to
present it to the Ministry of Health and to Action for AIDS
(Singapore) to highlight another possible source of HIV/AIDS spread
in Singapore: chats in internet rooms that lead to meetings where
mutual parties engage in petting/sex.
I am not a sex pervert. I do not ask for detailed physical and
sexual descriptions. My concern is that such meetings seem to
become more widely practiced and frequent. For certain individuals,
such meetings are the norm in their lifestyles.
HIV has a latency period of 10-14 years before the first medical
symptoms can be diagnosed. If such chatters have HIV during the
early stage (no symptoms as yet), and have been meeting internet
room chatters for petting/sex in these 10-14 years, what is the
total number of chatters to be infected with HIV, and later AIDS?
and what about their girlfriends, boyfriends, wives, husbands and
babies - how many of them will be infected as well? Do faithful sex
partners and innocent babies deserve to suffer the consequences of
their beloveds sexual adventures?
Another matter: No penetration; just kissing, petting and oral
only
When we are in the throes of passions, we forget that saliva and
semen may come into contact with ulcers/bruises/wounds in our
mouths and other parts of the body. Thus, can we be 100% sure and
safe that kissing, petting and oral sex do not spread HIV/AIDS,
especially among ever-changing and multiple partners?
I hope to have positive and constructive support in my survey; I
cannot do it alone; I need as much support as possible in order to
make my mission successful; I hope my mission will grow to include
more and more support. Please help and join in my mission.
Remember, no person is an island. What we do today will affect our
families, friends, societies, the global village of tomorrow.
Thank you and regards.
