If singapore loses, it make me wonder why afterall we spend so much money on soccer and produced this kind of results. I think we should turn to table-tennis instead.

I think a complete restructuring of the singapore team is needed. Although the players fielded today are not bad and they worked hard.

Anyway, maybe they should have an annual trials for national team selection together with those S-league players. That way, players who aren't in any clubs but have the skills and attitude to play for the country can be spotted for a professional careers. Something like what NBA do when they draft players into the teams. Just a suggestion though.

With 11 malays at the singapore squad, I could sense our players are playing the kampong football. Singapore soccer is as good as over. I hope our nation will not be represent for any international games for soccer from now on. How many years can we tolerate when we were beaten by Thailand, Malaysia, Indonesia?

I just feel that Singapore should not lose both the matches by 2-0 lor so sian got so many Malay guys like Baihakki, Hassan Sunny, Masrezwan, Alam Shah, Razaleigh also cannot win!!! Wat they are doing is not right and I think if and ardent Singapore fan see it definitely all of them will be hopping mad just like me coz i when to watch the Tiger Cup last year when they face Malaysia the score is 4-0 but it is better this time lor so it makes no difference but very very angry!!!!! Maybe they should ask FIFA to help us out of our misery. LIke what FIFA did for some African countries.

I do agree that more players of other races should be included to fully represent our cultural diversity. I'm sure there'll be alot of amateur players from other races out there who are really good in soccer too if you look at the country racial ratio. If 1% of chinese are good players and 1% of malays are good players, and since there's alot more chinese in singapore, 1% will yield a bigger pool of good players. heheehe.. logical right? But end of the day, it is still the skills that counts and not skin colour. Wink

no use one , the coaches all think malay natural in scoccer and chinese are fck up.
and also the govt talk abt study all the time say no degree or cert cannot get job,only can be cargo hand or sercurity guard
so our players would go get cert while playing soccer lowering the quality of football and after their playing career
is over
they would apply at the nearest condo to become security guard or taxi driver, or open coffee shop
makes you wonder, whats the cert for then? Question Confused

but i agree with giving our players to malaysia, maybe then we'll win

for my generation from young i can only see malay players from pri sch to sec
i dunno abt other schs my chinese in my sch were never given much chances,
seems to me like malays would go for soccer and chinese , basketball
no point for a chinese to do soccer if the coach is biased towards him in the first place
