First Time (Many years ago): Very very Shy, so went to a very
very quiet 7-11 at night - one that I knew I won't be visiting in
quite a while.
Only one other customer there. While waiting for him to leave,
browse around. Then bought a loaf of bread, went to counter,
quickly took a small box (3 in a pack), and paid under cover and
concealment. The cashier (a guy) didn't even blink an eyelid.
After a couple of times, it's no big deal anymore. To conquer yr
fear, ask yrself what is it u fear. Is it just pai seh (which can
be easily dealt with), or something else?
