I see Portugal as a team with few individual star players, like
Fernando Couto, Sousa, Figo, Rui Costa. These will prove the danger
men of Portugal, even though players like Nuno Gomes and Sa Pinto
could prove a mouthful at certain times. But in terms of the
fluidity of the soccer, I think Portugal still has some way to go
before it reach France's standard. In each of the different
positions of the French team, there is a star to offer. Lilian
Thuram, Lizarazu, Zidane, Henry, Djorkaeff, Anelka, Vieira, and so
many more. Goals can come from any side of the game, and the
midfield is hardworking and enterprising. So no need to guess who
will win already it is quite one sided.
