Are We Living in a Materialistic World?

Sometimes I just realise that all this clubbing, dining, movies and FUN.... The kind of money we're spending... YES, we've earned it and we deserve it.....
BUT what if we're not given a CHANCE to EARN this type of money...? I mean.... Do WE actually know <- If we do, are we constantly AWARE that there're people suffering in this world (and in Singapore) because they're lack of money.... Yes... Though I have to admit that I would love to give and contribute to the charity.... BUT even I myself have difficulty controlling my spending OVER my GIVING...
Yes, I do feel ASHAME of myself at times... But does that make ANY difference AT ALL? Sad

no money==can't do anything...becoz we will stave to death already.
husband no money, wife will stay through thick and thin and starve to death together like in the movie? no way man in this world
no money== no house to live in
no money == no food
no money== no money to study and go out == no friends

ETC ETC ....so it is this world which turn out to be this way....nothing we can do but to earn more then ppl....money money money ahhhh

We're NOT talking about our own 'survival' here.... I'm asking if we've got that EXTRA cash... Instead of MOVIES, CLUBBING, DINING in expensive RESTURANTS, CAFE, ARCADE, BILLARD.... Would we CARE MORE? For the survival of the others... <- Even though they might not be our friends, our kins... Or in anyway related directly with us.... WOULD YOU care less?

ops, i misunderstood the question....eh...i will care less honestly. Maybe hard hearted or whatever. Richer one should care more but not us who using a little money go poke billard all these.
