I want to downgrade my
mobile phone, a Nokia express music smartphone which I bought last
year in March from an Ah Beng shop. I still have a M1 contract
running, which means I am only eligible for a 12-month upgrade. The
reason? Because I feel that a mobile phone should be.. as the name
suggests, just a mobile phone. No twitter, no facebook, no
blogging, no forum surfing, and since I do not drive, I hope I will
not miss the GPS features that a smartphone has to
offer.
Or to put it simply, I need
a M16, not a SAR21 with all the bells and dongles. And it’s because
I miss my old M16’s recoil. I want to feel, and I want especially
the big buttons, which like my M16 trigger, when she is pressed it
jerks and reacts violently and I feel she is
alive.
My touch screen phone, with
all its Wifi and what naught, feels dead. I play with it every day,
and it is worse than my pen is. At least my dick reacts violently
at my age.. although it is already showing signs of losing energy
due to wear and tear. My handphone, the only physical reaction it
offers me is the vibration which I can easily pay $10 to get a
vibrator, and a bunch of electronic sounds which mean
absolutely nothing to me. Whimsical to
say, not only do I need a yesteryear, non-state-of-the-art
handphone, I need it to be a used 2nd hand gizmo, as
much as possible. And I need to love it. The idea now is that I
want back the Human Technology that says, I FEEL.
And I will only accept a
Nokia. Because I am human. I came from the era where the Nokia
3210, my first handphone, was the most advanced piece of Human
Technology I have ever seen as we headed into the new
millennium.
The options I have at M1
shop are already too advanced for me.
