Offering fantastic views of the Central Business District
skyline as well as the Marina Bay, the Bay Grandstand gives
spectators a close-up look at the F1 race action in the comfort of
the cool sea breeze. After running along the waterfront in front of
the Bay Grandstand, the car turns under the grandstand itself, one
of several unique features of the Singapore F1 circuit.
Despite being one of the slowest parts of the Singapore GP
circuit, this section proved to be a challenge for a number of the
drivers over the past two years. Apart from the notorious Nelson
Piquet Junior incident in 2008, Kimi Raikkonen, Adrian Sutil, Mark
Webber, Kazuki Nakajima and Nico Rosberg also had difficulty
tackling this section of the track.
Singapore GP's Bay Grandstand has plenty of food and beverage
outlets as well as spectacular roving entertainment acts underneath
the grandstand itself.
Singapore GP spectators at the Bay Grandstand have full
access to Zone 3 as well as Zone 4. Please refer to the map for
exact zone locations.
