my own personnal fav..........Penang Hawkers at York Hotel - for
their ban chang kueh and Penang Nyonya Food at King's Hotel - for
tau huay in gula melaka syrup, pig stomach soup, kerabu, achar,
otah...yummy
triple three at Mandarin orchard got wide selection of seafood and
desserts and LINE at Shangri la hotel..............
i used to work in Ritz Carltons - Greenhouse weekday buffet is
really good value. I think its $38++ only and you get a whole range
of sushi, oysters, mussels, prawns. The Desserts are really good-
Cheese Cake is the star of the show.
Its not a huge spread, but the ambience is classy and the food very
high quality for gf or biz.................

My strategy has been to be selective on the food that I eat.
Normally I will make a beeline for the sashimi and high-end sushi -
reasoning being that it will normally be very costly to eat this
item ala carte. Normally, the amount of sashimi and sushi I eat can
already pay off for my whole buffet - in terms of what it will cost
me to have an equivalent meal ala carte.
Will also go for the seafood - ie. fresh prawns/lobsters/flower
crabs. Again becos. of cost issue and the fact that these items
don't take up too much space like carbos do.
I will always save some space for the more delectable desert items
but at the end of the day, it is imperative not to over eat as you
will then lose the enjoyment value of the buffet - ie. hit negative
M. utility = better off not going for the buffet.
Finally, pace yourself and don't gorge as - 1) you will tend to
overeat since your stomach delays its communication with your head
2) you will look unglamourous and ugly LIKE
