Oh...my mum booked her March over the weekends.
The SE claimed the price of $51800(after all the discount) is the cheapest ever for the Elegance model. Can anyone confirm this?

Anyway...now looking forward to soup-up the car when it comes.
ICE is a definate top priority. Would like to install a GPS/DVD/Rear&Front Camera recorder/ Subwoofer/Speakers/sound proofing of entire body(roof/ddors/firewall,floopan).
Anyone with good recommendation of any experienced shops?

I want the sound quality and quiteness to match my dads' lexus400.

Driving a Vios now but likely switching to March by month-end, which is gf's favorite car (besides the New Beetle). Big loss (car only 18 months old) but also big smile from gf as she cannot drive manual.

It's interesting that the March is cheaper now than the Vios by $2k! So get a nice Jap-made car, about the same equipment (ABS, EBD, 2SRS), with cute looks and unique colors, and still $2k cheaper. Sounds like a deal, right?

I was checking out the forums for Nissan and March, and came on this thread. Some of the other cars e.g Vios, Getz, Kia have their own forums, so just wondering if any moderator here willing to volunteer the time to set one up for the Marchies?

A sales lady from Tan Chong called me up this noon.
March comfort model going for 46,000.

AND she had to rub it in when I told her i just bought a 2.5 yr one at 4.5k less.

2.5 years later, marchie registered today paper value will only be 20k....mmmm...meaning if i scrap 2 years later and buy another 2 yr nissan march, i still get some $$$ back... wow!!!!!!!!!

Alamak u should tell me earlier i can help u to get for $51k nett plus reverse sensor and solar film. Is true is the cheapest but there is a hiden value that cost the car so cheap! The OMV value of ur Elegance model is onli about $13,000 mean ur parf value is lower and lower OMV value declared means Tan Chong motors pay lesser tax. COE value drop which i mention earlier becos the number of booking for new car is not much.

Oh....no....that means my mum 'overpaid' $800 for the Elegance March car.
Damm.....did not realise that the TanChong advertised price can still be further cut! The SE was very firm that the price is FIXED, no way to change! Only freebies can be given if my mum is serious to buy.

Too bad lah.....already signed.

Now sourcing for a solid sound system for the March. Budget about $8000.

Dun worry even they dun give u further discount is still a very good deal! Becos lucky u didn't buy before the COE bid. if not it going to cost u more. $51,800 for a elegance model, is the cheapest throughout the history. Becos the declare lower OMV at about $13,000. The OMV for elegance model use to be about $15k to $16K.

Ok i think $8000 can do a very good system still can include soundproof! depend on what type of music u like to enjoy. Do u need a dvd touchscreen? Sound system can cost u $20k to $30k for those very high end stuff! Maybe see when u took ur car we can visit the workshop together that i done my sound system!becos i want to do my soundproof! so one short do together can get better discount! They r very professional They won many awards and price quite resonable. Wink

$8000 for a sound system?! Wow, to really enjoy that you will need to do major sound proofing. I have decided to opt out of the standard stereo (so $250 discount), and picked the JVC 2-DIN stereo with 12-CD changer setup that comes with the Latio Premium (cost is $530, installed by Nissan).

How is the pick-up of the March (if possible compared to the Vios)? Those that went to Camerons (nice pics!), how was the drive up the steep windy road from Tapah? FC?

On my current Vios (manual trans), I changed the air filter to KNN, horn to Stebel Magnum, and wheels to 205/40R16 Potenza GIII. Engine could breathe much better (so go faster whoopee!), people actually took notice when I honked instead of wondering who farted, and the wet grip and cornering stability was unbelievable (cornering at 90kmh no problem). FC was about 13.5km/l which was so so due to the fat tyres. Others could get 15km/l on stock 14" tyres.

Just curious what your experience has been with the March?

I also just joined the forum here, and expecting my car end of the month. And asked the same question. Looks like there isn't a dedicated March forum like Vios, Getz, Honda, etc. Those forums take time to set up and moderate. Maybe so far no one here has the time... Smile Smile

Yup, i have look at some of the post and it seem a few people have been asking the same thing but all left unanswered. I love my new ride and i am so happy to find the uk site for micra www.micra.org.uk . they have an excelent site there. i learn a lot from them.

I believe with this much traffic, a dedicate forum will benefit all march drivers in singapore.

If anyone interested, you can go to my forum call www.todayhow.com and use it to share about march cars. i have no objection. there is not much people there too. But it is just a simple forum and do not expect much.

I just booked mine (Comfort) a few days ago. SE completely denies that the price is $46 nett, say is $46.8k. Also say OMV is $14k.

Well in a few weeks we'll know for sure what the OMV is. The $46k price she says maybe because 100% loan for 10 years.

I spoke with Exporter to get a quote for my current car. She also say she can get Nissan March from Tan Chong. Say the commission is $600, and she can give me $500. But don't know where the $800 comes from, if commission is $600.

I think those new batch is about for the comfort model s about $13,500 plus or minus. and Elegance model is about $14,500 plus or minus. It will depend on the currency rate between singapore dollar and yens.In order for Tan Chong to sell at $46,800 for comfort and $51,800 for elegance. If not Tan Chong will be either making a lose or breakeven to sell u the car.

But for the old batch for comfort model is about $14 to $15k and elegance model is about $15 to 16k.!
