And another reason is the plane is too near the car..it is already nearly right above the Bentley, hence they share equal limelight, or maybe the plane gets even more limelight..if the plane was further away and more out-of-focus, then it will complement the Bentley instead of stealing limelight from it.. I personally think with a little help from photoshop, the car can look more in focus and in the limelight..
I think they have a theme though. They portray a regular Bentley owner's lifestyle: island getaways on jets. Besides, Bentley does have some aviation heritage right?
This pic is nice! Well done.. Yea now the car looks like it is the subject of interest..
Thankew..
Hi Vanquish, how long do you need to take these shots? Might need to make an appointment with you. Let me know, i'll see my time slot. Thanks.
Can i ask where is this place ah??Look very romantic leh..If not good to disclose, can pm me the place.. thanks a million..
i know wat ur meaning was. that can be done by changing the focusing point and aperture. i dun like to photoshop my pics tat much as it will look very unoriginal and loses the natural and fresh feel to it. but nice effort though.
you can read my mine bro. haha. cheers
mckenz and lord kang. pm-ed u
Yeah..can see that you are those kind who will leave the photos as original as possible except for the black frame and the word "vanqphotography"..
I m back after a long break (less than a month). been busy with assignments. Audi A8 Photoshoot stay tuned. more pics coming up
i agree with maverick abt the rule of thirds. shld have given the car and its bg the bottom 2/3 and the plane/sky the top 1/3 only and uh.. u could try switching to a telephoto (a real one, not a zoom lens) lens and taking the pic from further away to get the shallower DOF as well. all the above for the first photo onli with the car and plane facing the same direction. the 2nd pic with the car facing back and the plane facing front just can't cut it for me.. sorry the car and the plane is already a huge contrast. putting them facing the same direction (or in a symmetrical fashion) will force comparison - like in the first photo. thereafter, you give the car 2/3 and the plane 1/3 to show that the car is more impt. however, putting the car's butt facing the front and the plane's nose facing the same way is more of a contradiction. even with the rule of thirds and the shallow dof, the framing just doesn't add up.
it still doesn't cut it for me unfortunately. the majority of the shot is still the plane and the clouds dont help. the clouds draw a natural focus to the plane whereas there is nothing in the land background of the car to draw attention to the car. The road surface, plants, foliage and all could have been replaced with something else like a fence or a building (depending...)
isn't that where we went? it's a secured area lei they didn't chase u away this time?
4get it man haha. i dun want to include any planes in my shots next time. most of the pple dun read too much into it. anw, appreciate u gus have yr comments and critics.
ya. we went at night. nothing happen.
