I keep ants as a hobby but unfortunatly my queen has died
thus I need a new one pls. They are very hard to get in
England.
Pheidologeton is distributed throughout S. E. Asia and has been
recorded in Hawaii. It is most common in Malaysia, Singapore,
Thailand and Indonesia. Colonies are very large and well protected
furthermore, there is only one queen, making it difficult to obtain
a colony. However, during nuptial flights, the queens are attracted
to shiny and bright surfaces. They usually fly into houses and mate
on the ground. This will give you a good chance to catch
them.
The ants carry out nuptial flight once every two or three months
unless you want to brave digging for a queen
