Ashton McStansfieldio SG Hello, I live in England and want to buy colonies of asian army ants, Pheidologeton diversus and campanotus gigas. I can pay via paypal. Willing to pay postage costs up front and negotiable fee on arrival. other interesting ants considered, thank you My email: [email protected]
Ashton McStansfieldio SG I`ll start the bidding at £10 per mated (i.e. wingless) queen £15 if she comes with 20 or so workers. payable only if she survives. I`ll explain how to package for transport. postage will be payed regardless of course
Ashton McStansfieldio SG No, i dont want an ecological nightmare I have one colony of marauder ants allready and want to expand. the ants could not survive here outside, much too cold. I offer £10 for each marauder queen, £15 with workers
the Bear SG that's what a lot of people said about introduced species... be careful with them critters...
Ashton McStansfieldio SG sorry, I missread. marabunta ants?? It says in google that marabunter is another name for the african man eating driver ants... I don`t like them ones
Ashton McStansfieldio SG (dont think this is a double post. apologies if it is) I appreciate your concern Lazy Bear, I heard about the massive super colony of argentinian ants plaguing australia now. But I intend to give the ants a nice, secure new home, I promise
Fatum SG the pics from google looks quite familiar .... they are all over the place in bukit timah nature reserve and the assorted training areas .... maybe you can start a thread in the SAF forum ...
eviljustice SG u crazy izzit. sell ants. i think ur brain got too much water inside or is infested by ants.
Ashton McStansfieldio SG No one wants to sell me ants maybe I am in the wrong forum, can anyone suggest a better forum for me please. I`m serious about the ants, maybe I`m not offering enoughmoney?
ndmmxiaomayi SG I have no idea how to transport ants without them dying. And you already have army ants. I do think to some extent that's crazy. For Campanotus gigas, if you are willing to fly to Asia and collect... shouldn't be a problem. There are lots here. For Pheidologeton diversus, I have no idea. Is this the one (Pheidologeton diversus) you are looking for? http://ant.edb.miyakyo-u.ac.jp/E/Taxo/F41301.html
Ashton McStansfieldio SG Yes Pheidologeton diversus, I keep them in a large thermostatically controlled tank with running water for humidity and feed them all sorts of things they are very interesing to me. to send them you need a test tube or similar. fill the end with a small amount of water. then put in small bit of cotton wool to stop flooding of the tube adfd ants then more cotton wool to stop escaping from the end. leave room for movement obviously.
