Godiva Christmas
gift box chocolates recalled
SINGAPORE: Godiva Chocolatier has voluntarily recalled one of its
Christmas chocolate gift boxes, after reports in Japan said a small
strand of metal had been found in the chocolates.
Singapores AgriFood and Veterinary Authority (AVA) has directed
importers to recall the 16piece Christmas Carre Gift box
containing chocolate squares.
These gift boxes are only available in Godivaowned retail stores
in Singapore.
About 40 boxes of the chocolates have been sold so far.
The AVA advises consumers who have bought the implicated product
not to consume it. They should either discard the product or return
it to any Godiva store.
AVA says it will monitor the situation to ensure that the affected
products are not available for sale in the market here.
