snobbish SG Last week, i had the BEST tom yum soup in my life.. Even better than those i tried in expensive restaurants or even in Thailand. For those who really can take spice, this is where to go. Super (burning) spicy, sour enough and loads of fresh seafood. Its cooked by thai people, $5 a big bowl. I drooling already I did not take note of the exact address as i did not expect so nice one (i ta pau) Its the coffee shop OPPOSITE or NEXT TO Nafa school at 151 Bencoolen St. Its a Thai Food Stall By Thai Ladies (old looking store)
Wanda SG Do you mean the coffee shop beside the nafa school? I think the coffeeshop is called M11 or "something 11". I must go try it. Edit: confirmed the coffee shop is called M11 @ Bencoolen.
snobbish SG i am a scary chilli eater and normally the spicy foods i eat no kick one, but this one really made me sweat and somemore i ate it with lotsa chilli padi some places spicy but thats all,the taste so so nia, but this one is spicy sour yet yummm
Wanda SG I tried already... My soup looked different from your clear soup though...mine was more cloudy. It had lots of herbs in it and chunks of fish, but no straw mushrooms It' s definitely authentic and quite fiery, and I also added some more cut red chilli. In the end, it made me eat more rice than I normally do.
mystee SG there is also authentic thai tom yum noodle at Meridien foodcourt. can try, they oso have straw mushroom.
snobbish SG its juz opposite my office..Not bad but stillnot possible to compare with bencoolen that one
