brocholli, and other food with lots of anti-oxidant. Try asking people about Lingzhi, my neighbour bought quite a lot of the lingzhi tablets for her husband who have cancer and told me it is beneficial. Just pop by the shop and read the contents of lingzhi, then you can know more.

but best is to let the patient think postively, as negatively thinking will somehow affect the body. give him/her moral support.

That's right. Food for the soul! Very Happy There are patients who miraculously overcame cancer because they kept a positive outlook. I don't believe that's the sole reason, but it's a vital reason, because our body's immune system weakens when we're stressed arghhhhhhh! Mad

A cancer patient that just operate need regeneration food.. rather than cancer prevention food...

Just go to chinatown market... buy sheng yu (snakehead) and use tat to boil soup... tat type of soup can help patients to recover faster from operation...

But, I remember when I was young, my mother has cancer operation. my father bought the fish alive and beat it to death ... How my father cook I dont remember... next time, ask my father ><

But usually, the fishmonger will teach u how to cook it 1...

hmm.. i think sheng yu is not only for cancer operation. is more for healing purposes…

TS.. depending on which part of cancer is ur relative suffering from. sheng yu is good for healing wounds.. And pls check with the doc if patiect is suitable for solid food or liquid before working out a diet for patiect. if only liquid food i suggest u let him/her take ENSURE milk as it have all the nutrients needed and i dont recommend lingzhi, chicken essence these sort of TCM as it might create heavoc.. REASON: ( no offence to TS ) operation not 100% cure cancer and cancer cell travel in blood, by boosting blood movement it might back fire if cancerous cell is still active and it will spread to other parts in no time.

maybe let patient have lots of plain water and vitamin to boost up immunity before going into those lingzhi and essence etc..

as some have mention.. positive mood is the main factor to road of recovery

Since it is chemo & radiation (not a form of surgery) , I think food with anti oxidant works well...

But, if cancer tat is involved in surgery, of coz with doctor approval, sheng yu is good in recovery wound.

ya... sheng yu or as Fireice stated, fish in general is good for healing purposes..

she being thru' two operations, chemo, radia... in & out of isolation wards a few times...
