Food republic is beginning to relate quality food with higher
prices. Unfortunately, after the initial euphoria that accompanied
their Wisma outlet, their subsequent VIVO and Suntec branches
churned out less than satisfied reviews.
Of the food court chains, they are currently the priciest, with
half a chicken at 'Sergeant Chicken Rice' going for $14/-, compared
to the average $10/- at a standard hawker stall and $12/- at a
branded chicken rice restaurant. Furthermore, their supposed
'boneless' chicken still leaves some leftovers you have to
personally remove. Not at all satisfying, given that the chicken is
quite ordinary (but still better than Loy Kee best).
Maybe the 'General' should stop by and give them a good
hidding.
