chiabaliao SG Just tasted a very nice dish of herbal emperor chicken at a shop in Taman Sentosa, JB. Didn't notice the name of the shop, but it has a Christian cross hung at the back of the shop. The egg omelette Otah was also very good. My host told me that shop is famous for the chicken dish. Is there a shop offering great herbal emperor chicken in Singapore?
BillyBong SG There's a stall at the Chinatown market temporary set-up next to Outram MRT that sells herbal emperor chicken, $5/- for half a chicken, no rice. It was excellent i thought. But once you've tasted one, the rest are more or less the same.
chiabaliao SG We took only a short walk, but obviously a lot of shops there. We went in a group (3 cars), so feel safer.
photo_seeker SG actually, chiabaliao and fireice, both of you are referring to the same shop... It's a corner store, with level 2 dining area as well right? I was there last saturday... their otah omelete, herbal chicken was superb..
photo_seeker SG used to be.. but no longer that crowded as S'poreans are not that crazy bout there anymore.. but the stall recommended was great.. if you're there, do try.. it's about 15mins drive from the causeway only...
chiabaliao SG Yes, the same shop. Did you take note of the shop's name? And yes, I was told nearby got great bak kut teh as well. Those who are crazy about cakes, Pelangi and City Square both have Secret Recipes. Much cheaper.
photo_seeker SG I can try retrieving my tour itinerary list to take a look for the store name... But no promises as it's almost a week..
jianfish9 SG The one at the extreme corner has level 2. However, the one beside it only has one level and thats the one I usually frequent. Find the food there pretty good and cheap. Proven with the amount of chops on my Passport. Everytime want to eat the Bak Kut Teh, but end up always tempted to eat the herbal chicken instead. Coz got aircon...lol
