Camemberu SG Sakae is the pits! If you're looking at $30, you can get quite a decent meal during lunchtime at certain restaurants. Tatsuya is excellent for quality. browniebaobao SG Nihon mura lor.. sushi at 99 cents per plate. variety not much.. but the don is value for money lah. 4 persons went to eat around $57.

snowygal SG for the one who asked about city hall area-- sushi teh not bad.. the decor at the raffles city branch is nice and cosy for threadstarter-- try sun with moon , they have 2 outlets, one at wheelock and one at central.. love the food there.. for a nicer ambience..u can try Sun dining at chijmes .. also part of the sun with moon. but menu is slightly different from sun with moon waraku is not a bad choice either just that it can be rather noisy when the waitresses are shouting out the greetings etc
JerzZzzZ SG same recommendation from me. sun with moon, and waraku! waraku's cheaper, and the quantity (or rather, the bowl) is huge! both serves palatable japanese food.
