It refers to vintage & classic speedometer where instead of
a circular speedometer its a rectangle one instead like the old
days' radio tuner.So the speed is instead laid out like the FM
frequencies on the radio and hence the nickname.
Its not actually a "bullet-proof" car,but a term to mean that
the gearbox is reliable and indestructible(context)
