Over 1,500+
high-resolution photographs and 7 early films covering all aspects
of the historic Great Depression on CD-Rom! The photos are
categorized into 8 easy to navigate sections including Children,
Mothers, and Family, Miscellaneous, Makeshift Homes, Market Crash,
Migrants, Migrant Workers, Soup Kitchens and the Unemployed. In the
early years, the photographs emphasize rural life and the negative
impact of the Great Depression, farm mechanization, and the Dust
Bowl.
Some of the most famous images here portray people who were
displaced from farms and migrated West or to industrial cities in
search of work. In the later years, the photographs are more
focused on the mobilization effort for World War II and portray
aircraft manufacturing, military training, and the nation's
railroads. The majority of this photographic collection is in b
& w while a few of the photographs are in full color.
These vintage photos of the Great Depression are a true work of art
and the finest collection available on the economic crisis of early
America. All pictures are fully printable from the CD and are
suitable for framing! They are all scans from the authentic
originals and are of the highest quality. This CD is a great visual
reference and study guide for any historical buff or educational
student alike.
